Upma recipe is a hot favorite breakfast recipe! Originally from South India, this tasty recipe can be eaten for breakfast, brunch or as a snack and is so easy to prepare you can even make this only in 10-15min

to prepare upma recipe you need the below ingredients:


*1(100gm) cup Rava / Sooji

*1 midium chopped Onion

*2 medium tomatoes chopped

*2 green chillies chopped

*1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds

*1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

*1 teaspoon  Urad Dal

*1 teaspoon  Channa Dal

*2 tablespoons Oil

*Few curry leaves

*chopped coriander leaves

*2 cups of water

*Salt to taste

method to prepare upma recipe:


step1:

Heat a on a medium flame and roast the Rava / Sooji until the rava becomes to light brown color and keep aside

step2:Heat the oil in a another pan and add the mustard , cumin seeds,curry leaves and wait until the mustard seeds  spluttering stops.

step3:add channa & urad  to it and fry till they turn red.

step4:after that add chopped  green chillies,chopped Onion and fry till the onion become soft and light brown color

step5: Add the tomatoes and cook till soft and add the salt and chopped coriander leaves.

step6:add 2 cups of water to above mixture and let it water boil.

step7:Add the roasted Rava / Sooji and stirring constantly to prevent any lumps from forming till it becomes little thick.

step8:in low flam cook the upma recipe for 5-10min until it becomes thick porridge and atfer that remove from flam and serve hot with any of your favorate chetney or pickle.
